go back to the person that you got the 701 from and get the external floppy
and the multiport-II AND, lastly, the parallel printer cable..
you'll need to get a PCMCIA based CD since the 701 never had one..
to open the 701, operate the hook on each corner of the top, then it will
open up like most laptops..
