Hello,
After years of excellent performance, my trusty TP 755 CX
is recently refusing to boot, but instead just shows
107
on the screen at startup. No beep, no memory check, just
that plain 107.
I could not find any reference to 107 in the owner's manual.
Anyone got any idea what it means, and how to fix it?
I did replace the seven-year-old CMOS battery with a new one
from IBM, but that made no difference.
Any help or leads with this would be greatly appreciated!
Although the 755 CX may seem very dated compared to the new
X 24 that I just got, it's still a very fine computer in its
own right, and more than sufficient for much of my work.
So I'd really like to keep it working for several more years.
Cheers, Joseph
