Actually, the IDE devices are enabled/disabled via the Thinkpad configuration
program. There are no IDE devices in the docking station, only a SCSI tape
drive, a Compaq tlan PCI NIC and a USR internal Courier V.Everything set for
COM1 IRQ4. IDE2 and IDE3 are disabled, the Lucent internal modem is disabled,
as is the serial port on the back of the machine. The external floppy is not an
IDE device and works fine if the machine is not docked or not booted to Warp
4.52.
I tried removing the NIC and the modem to see if it made a difference; it
didn't.
