400Mhz Pentium II, and 60GB hard drive. I think the battery life
was about 30 minutes better with the 366MHz, but the slight
speed increase is sort of noticable. Since I upgraded to the new 5400RPM
Travelstar's, I've noticed a major improvement in speed, plus the drive
is actually quieter (so it's less noticable when I use it in class).
Then again, I also have processor and PCI bus set to max performance.
And yes, it's much better than the 760's. Technically, my previous machine
was a 760ED, but the DC-DC inverter fried one day, and I went back to
my venerable 701CS, which I still use from time to time. I noticed
that the keyboard on the 760's gets rather stiff/sticky after prolonged use, which the
600's do not.
