Just an update on my problem for the mailing list archive... My recently
obtained, faulty 600X came back from warranty repair earlier this week and
works like new! The laptop came back with a replaced LCD (according to the
repair checklist) and even cosmetics like missing port covers were taken
care of.. Sweet.
Kudos to IBM support and (first of all) to the people on this list who
helped me with my inquiries. Thanks!! You saved me from wasting time and $$$
trying to fix the problem myself. :>
