How do I make my 701 boot from a compact flash?
Also, I need an interface cable to the a: drive. The 701 has a 37 pin
mini plug on the side. The a: drive has a 27 pin mini plug. I need a
cable that will go to the 27 pin A: drive AND to a standard printer DB
25 plug.
As the 701 does it's own brand of partitioning, do you need a TP 701
fdisk? or will the fdisk that came with windows 98 do the job?
Is it normal for the 701 to take a very long time to boot and for there
to be a LOT! of Hard drive action in the process?
Then after the boot, it takes a LOT of HD activity to do a simple task
taking a LONG time to do it.
Is this normal? or do I have a Hard drive controller going south. Or
will a re format help. I did a defrag that took 4 or 5 hours to do a
3.4 gig drive. I think even a 75 Meg CPU should do better than that.
Any in put?
Ron.
