[T21] DVD Player Failed

After attempting to play a DVD my friend made, my regular DVDs will not
play. DVDExpress (original to the machine) reports "Key exchange for DVD
copy protection failed".

I can see the files on the DVD with Windows Explorer. CDs work fine. No
hardware or software changes to the PC (other than playing a bad DVD).

Is there a "reset" for the DVD player - or do I have a hardware problem?
