I'm confused about what you mean by a 44-pin carrier.

Likewise, what jumper??

Here's where I'm coming from:

Thinkpad A20m, generic PCMCIA-CF adapter card (passive, just passthrough,
no electronics inside).

W98 SE and Warp 4 FP12.

Under W98 I could read a CF card (from my Nikon coolpix camera) with no
problems.

Under Warp 4, there were problems until I installed a recent DANIS506
driver that includes PCMCIA support. Since then, it's been great.

With sufficient thrust, pigs fly just fine. However, this is not
necessarily a good idea. It is hard to be sure where they are
going to land, and it could be dangerous sitting under them as
they fly overhead. -Request for Comments: 1925 IOOF
