Hi
I was attempting to fix the power block on my neighbours 760ED - it had
come loose and hence no power in, but OK off batts. I had looked at it
earlier and tried to resolder the loose joints, but it failed. So whilst he
is on holiday I said I'd look again, but to my horror, on reassembling the
unit it won't power into POST, even on battery power as it did before!
The HDD soins up, the Battery indicator shows on the LCD but it won't show
anything on screen or activate the FDD or FDD symbol on the LCD...?
Is there something I have failed to reconnect or switch? What is the usual
cause of this error??
I checked to ensure I had not oversoldered and caused a short, and
insulated all round the shielding at the power point in case it flexed and
made contact...
Not looking forward to him coming back! Although I was looking for another
M/Board for this anyway - so if I can't fix it, anyone got a working board?
Thanks
Mark
