Quite true--speeds are indeed over-rated, which is why a lot of people
don't look at the Athlon. They consistently run at slower clock speeds
than Intel yet perform better. Numbers do not tell the whole story.
They do indeed perform better. AMD still has to work on their hea
issues, but the next i386 system I build will use an Athlon.
...If only I could get Athlon based ThinkPads!
