I have a 11J8998 FRU 11J9000 port replicator (380 385 560)
which I would like to use on my 390E and 390X Thinkpads.
The reason for this is that this port replicator has a midi port
(important to me) where the replicator that is called out for the
390 series doesn't.
Both replicators are supposed to work on the 560 models and
the part fits perfectly from a mechanical standpoint.
Do you think that I dare try it?
If not, does anyone know of another way to use midi on the 390s?
I have searched the IBM web site without much luck but
I know that there are people on this list that are much better
at that than I am.
