First of all I would like to thank everyone who responded with help on my
600E problems. I tried everything under the sun but it seems that the IDE
controller has gone south. Luckily, it's still under warranty and there is a
authorized repair place just a few miles from the house. This was my first
experience with IBM support and it was very good...quick, courteous, and
accurate. Again, thanks for the replies.
