The win95 IR drivers & app will let you shoot files back and forth w/o going
for a hookup per se, but yeah, they're pretty much useless. You can sync your
Palm Pilot with them or maybe use an IR printer if you have one. Or even talk
to your phone if it's IR equipped.
It's cool technology that never really caught on ... likely the blueprint for
Bluetooth's fate.
