After the offer to take a photo, nothing from the guy who
started the 7.5 gig rumour.
As far as I can see, there is no such thing as a 7.5 gig
Travelstar. The only one reported has the same part number as
the 10 gig Travelstar. Who knows, maybe it slightly missed the
fault tolerance allowed by IBM, and perhaps internal policies
require that current drives be marketed in 2.5 GB increments.
I'm just guessing!
Kinda' like the "magenta" colour of IBM's trackpoint caps. Yeah,
sure.
As to how a 10 GB drive could break the 6.4 GB BIOS barrier in
a 701C, perhaps it is because Paul is using Win2K, which
reportedly ignores what the BIOS tells it. The same reportedly
