uhmm..
the printer port on the side of the 701 should be "live" as a parallel port
when booted (?) up in DOS..
you might need a driver for the PCMCIA port for that device..
when i load an OS on a 701 drive i pull the drive, load the files needed
onto the HDD and THEN load right from the HDD..
