not sure about gaming, but the A31p with the ATI chipset is sure fast for
normal video stuff..
bear in mind that these video chipsets most likely use more power than some
of the "less cutting edge" chipsets and when you are designing anything that
runs on batteries, you are balancing performance with battery life..
once fuel cells for thinkpads are available design criteria/limitations will
most likely change..
until then, for a laptop where longer battery life is essential, the
balancing act will continue..
in the case of USB-2 i do not know why this has not yet been implemented in
thinkpads..
but my guess is that, like the touchpad, when the LE buyer (large
enterprise=$M orders) demands it, it will appear very quickly..
