I did read the OS install info on ibm's webpage, and the only thing that I was
unable to accomplish was the BIOS update. Originally, I toasted my mainboard
by attempting a BIOS update from harddrive. Now, on the rebuilt machine, with
an ultrabay floppy, the bios update hangs and must be rebooted.

Thanks for the advice. I will try removing the .inf's if I can find them on
ibm.com.
