MessageTry partitioning the hard drive on the machine using the DOS FDISK command. Sometimes the machine really needs to partition the hard drive on board.
Also, make sure you have the latest BIOS
I do have 600 Motherboards (NOT 600E).

Subject: [Thinkpad] [Thinkpad 600] - Bad mainboard I think
I've swapped out my hard disk and replaced the RTC battery, but my problem persists. During post, I get a picture of a floppy disk drive indicating to insert a disk and press F1. Seems to me like the machine isn't finding any bootable media. if I go into the bios and reset it, the first time it reboots the machine boots fine. Any reboot after that yields the same result unless I reset the BIOS again. I can't think of anything else I could replace other then the main board. Anyone have any ideas?
How much would a replacement motherboard for my Thinkpad 600 run and where would the cheapest place to get one be?
