Something strange happen this week. I've been using a 600e for the last
2 months and printing fine to an HP L4 laserjet. Earlier this week, when
trying to printer, an error message appeared indicating that an error
occurred printing to LPT1, please check you connection and so on. This is
running Win98se.
So, after going through the usual manuvers including uninstalling and
re-installing the drivers (even downloaded the drivers from HP), it still
comes up with the error. The laptop also passed the Parallel test in the
self test.
This is the wierd part.
I have a second 600e. The exact same model with a bare bones Windows 98 OS.
It has never been attached to this L4 printer at all. But, after loading the
drivers, it also gave the same error.
A friend has a TP A20 and that prints fine to the L4.
Has anyone else experience this situation and something similar?
I'm stumped!!! (Just call me Stumpy - well... then again, maybe not)
Any help would be appriciated.
Thanks,
Al
