Next time you have everything working, go into the device manager, and write down the resource settings (interrupt, dma, etc)
being used for the printer port. Then, next time it *isn't* working, go back into the device manager and look at all
possible conflicts on those settings (hint: highlight 'computer', view 'properties'). Probably there is some competition, if so
you should change all relevant devices from plug&play to fixed settings, fixed to the ones where things were working.
