Unless Kingston has changed its policies in the last 3 years, that shouldn't
matter. When I had to replace Kingston memory, all I had to do was give
them a credit card number to protect them while the chips were being
cross-shipped; the returned chip itself was the proof required.
That had been my experience with Kingston also. I had always been impressed
with their service. I have two Kingston 512's in this T23 that I am typing
on. I called them direct and complained about their prices on their web site
and they gave me the name of one of their preferred resellers who supplied
them at a very competitive price. When I bought them Crucial did not
recommend 512's for the T23 for some unknown (to me) reason.
