Kingston's customer service impressed me too, with a slightly different problem. I
bought some memory from Office Depot, which had a $15 manufacturer's rebate
showing on its website. The rebates are processed by a third-party outfit; theoretically
one can follow their progress on its own website.

Too many weeks later I realized that I'd never gotten my $30, and complaints to the
rebate processing place were a waste of time. Three people there insisted that it had
never gotten anything from me.

I went to Office Depot's and Kingston's websites and fired off a complaint to each at
about 3 AM just before heading for bed. When I got up a few hours later, waiting for
me was a very apologetic email from Kingston -- and a check arrived within another 48
hours!

I never got any response from Office Depot.
