I just bought a Thinkpad 600 mainboard for my 600 (2645-45U).
Unfortunately, the new board was not the correct board. It has an MMC2 slot
rather then an MMC1 slot for the CPU. This could be good and bad. It seems
to physically fit in my Thinkpad and the only connection that looks
different is the audio connection and the CPU, but everything else looks
like it will fit right on. Can I just buy an MMC 2 chip to put on this
board and effectively upgrade my Thinkpad? Is there a way to tell exactly
what model thinkpad the new board is for and what the max processor speed it
will support is?
