Help! I just purchased a used 770ED with a DVD drive, 128mb RAM and a
P2-266. I've tried about a dozen different DVD player programs, all with
the same result - choppy sound and video. OK, so I figured I probably
should have shelled out a little more for a faster processor (so much for
being cheap).
Then I found the Margi DVD-to-go card, which reportedly should fix the
problem since it will handle the playback. It helps, sort-of: With the MCI
driver I still get choppy sound, but there's no video, just a random screen
of colors that doesn't change. The best I get is with the WDI driver. The
sound is OK, but the video is still not. It looks like a TV with bad
reception (I can't think of a better way to describe it).
So, my question is, does anyone have any experiences with the Margi card,
or with DVD playbak on a 770ED in general. I don't care how to make it
work. I'm open for any suggestions.
Thanks,
Dino
