To follow up, went to Target in Fort Lauderdale on Saturday (last
day of sale) and they had ONE of the desktop (USB) version. Then
went to Target in Deerfield Beach and they had ONE EACH of the
desktop and notebook versions. Bought the notebook one for $100.
Didn't see any indication of a rebate though. Should I have?

I was debating on going with the USB version (since this would just
be for my house, not a lot of moving around). But I think the USB
version, while it could handle a 1-meg DSL connection, might be a
bottleneck if I went to the new 3-meg connection available from
Sympatico in some parts of Ottawa?

ANd does anyone know anything about this week's 100 CD-R promo at
CompUSA? THe flyer and sign say "buy five packs of 20 Imation
CD-Rs in jewel cases for $9.95 after rebates". But the rebate
coupon is specifically for a _single_ pack of 20 CD-Rs and is
limited to one! The woman at CompUSA was particularly unable to
help, I bought them but I'll take them back if necessary (I was
willing to pay $8 for 100 cases at Office Max a couple of weeks
ago, and bought 50 CD-Rs on a spindle for 99c, so I figure this is
worth it if it's legit). Thanks!
