(Running pre-installed W2K Professional)
Previously, when I pressed Fn-F3, a pop up would display "Preparing to turn off the monitor", and then the LCD display would turn off.
One day, I used the Display control panel to turn on the "TV out" so I could use the S-Video out cable. (When done, I unchecked the "TV out" box.)
Ever since then, pressing Fn-F3 displays the pop up, but the monitor doesn't turn off. The computer functions normally, but the LCD monitor won't turn off when I press Fn-F3.
I am not using an external display.
Any ideas?
- Ken
