You didn't mention it, but were you aware that just yesterday Microsoft
released a new upgrade named Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) intended to
prvovide better security than WEP? The download is apparently free to
anybody who wants it.

I often have problems getting MS updates installed using its automatic
download + install? Whichever installation method you tried (auto,
probably), go back to the download site and download it the other way. You
can get just the file itself, save it to disk, then click on the
self-executing file to install -- instead of the more complex
update/installation procedures file.
