Hi Guys,
Long time lurker, first time poster, so be gentle :)
I recently purchased a 760EL....The unit did not include a
recovery/restore disk/cd. I have been searching E-bay for several
months, and have seen recovery CDs for what seems like every Thinkpad
model EXCEPT the 760 series? Did the 760 series originally come with a
recovery/restore cd/disk? Is there some reason that recovery CDs for
this series are so rare? Are these available direct from
IBM?...cost? Can anyone furnish an alternate source for a 760 series
recovery CD. And finally will I need a recovery cd explicitly for a
760EL, or will any 760 series CD work?
This unit was a business machine and the previous owner/company deleted
much of the original system software that was not directly related to
their specific application. I would like to restore the unit to its
original factory software installation.
Thanks,
Jim Stone
