Haven't had a chance to fire it up yet, but just looking at the hardware
I would have to say that IBM finally has a real successor to the 600x.
this machine is so well designed and so well built that it makes me
forget all of my gripes about the prior T series and I cant wait to get
my data off my T23 and start working on this machine all the time. quite
frankly even if there were no performance, battery life or heat
improvements, I would want this machine just for the improved keyboard
and build quality

The keyboard is finally right on. no mushy or dead spots. no flexing or
bouncing as with the T2x series. very responsive. the design is very
simple, elegant and well proportioned. the fit and finish are very good.
no creaking or warping as you open the display. everything has that
solid feel that we have come to expect from IBM but was really missing
in recent years. assuming the performance is decent, this is a lovely
business user machine. all of the old 600x grumpies (JHEM etc) can
finally retire their machines

Welcome back IBM. very well done!
