Hi,
why don't you look for a spare KBD on eBay ?

Subject: [Thinkpad] 560: several keys kaput after swapping DC/DC card
After two years of my 560 not being able to use battery power or
charge a battery, I finally got enough courage to replace the DC/DC
card (had tested the battery pin voltages as per the HMM and found the
battery was okay).
The repair involved a stack of parts to take out and put back. To my
surprise battery charging works fine, as does everything else. Except
that a few keys no longer work:
F11, F12, Insert, Delete, NumLk/ScrLk (I think), downarrow, rightarrow.
F12 is bad to lose because of hibernation, but I use Linux and 'tpctl
--hibernate' works as a replacement. Downarrow and rightarrow are
often useful too. Insert/Delete/NumLk I never use.
While I had the 560's gut all over the table, I cleaned 6 years of
dust balls and tiny food particles from the keyboard with a (very
slightly) damp paper towel and blowing under the keyboard. Could I
have broken a keyboard wire trace while removing or cleaning the
keyboard? Any other thoughts? If I broke a trace, following
suggestions in this list from many years ago (1997) I might try
conducting epoxy.
I'd hate to have messed up the keyboard, since it's the finest
keyboard I've used (even better than the old Sun Sparc keyboards), and
one reason that I stay with the 560 series (my second laptop, just
arrived, is a 560Z).
