Yes, but the some Celerons have heat problems and the max non-Speedstep Celeron
available on the MMC-2 module (550MHz) isn't any faster than the PIII 500MHz.

Only the 650MHz 5FU and 9FU systems are Speedstep enabled and both can be
upgraded to a PIII 850MHz MMC-2, which is the fastest MMC-2 Intel made.

PII 400MHx MMC-2. There are many of us on the list who have attempted to upgrade
the 600E to a PIII with the net result that you wind up with an, at worst,
unstable machine or, at best, BOOT problems.
