Hi,
I recently bought a Thinkpad X22 (2662-G95, i.e. no
wireless built-in) at eBay hoping I could use one of my
no-name wireless PCMCIA cards.
The card is a Prism II-based Gigafast AEX 721 which works
OK on my Toshiba Portege 3110 CT and also on a Compaq
Presario.
However, although it apparently installed all right, the
connexion freezes. By this I mean that data transfer
first becomes extremely slow and then stops, and on the
little control panel-type display, the signal strength as
well as data transfer rates don't update.
As these cards work fine on the other laptops, I am
wondering if this might be a Thinkpad-related problem.
Am I the only one having this type of problem? What cards
are people using? What do you recommend? I am quite
interested in 3com's card with the XJACK retractable
antenna, but wanted to have confirmation of people on this
list first.
Please cc: me as I am on the digest.
Cheers,
Jakob.
