Well, my PC Connection T23 arrived this morning and my experience matches
those previously posted:
- Box was sealed, IBM security seal intact.
- Floppy drive was included.
- Inner plastic bag containing laptop had been unsealed -- not resealed.
- WinXP Home license sticker on bottom of unit (wish it were for Pro!)
- Win2000 pre-installed, seems to come up OK.
- No dead pixels immediately obvious.
- Warranty info says that expiration is: 2005-6-27 with special wording:
This product has a special bid three year limited warranty. This product is
entitled to parts, labor and on-site repair service (9x5 next business day)
in approved locations. Thinkpad batteries have a one year warranty.
(Need to check if the on-site service really applies to me.)
Still a good deal for the money.
