In Uk, I can supply repacked and 'third party' batteries for all the Thinkpad
models. The 'third party' units are more reliable than the original IBM and come
with a 1yrs warranty.

RE: Re: [Thinkpad] TP 600E battery

I chose this brand because:
- I had had already 4 defective IBM batteries, included 2 replaced by IBM because they were defective, and they didn't want to replace them again. So I was not going to buy a new one which was probably going to be defective again. At the rate they were going defective, I was going to need to buy 2 batteries a year!
- APC is specialized in UPS so I thought that they would make good batteries, but this was not based on any test, just a thought. I also thought that if they are making batteries for a lot of different notebooks, as they do, they would better do good products if they want to survive in this area.
- I asked on this list if somebody had already tried them, regarding compatibility and so on. I got one answer, for another ThinkPad model, and the person was satisfied. The battery was fully compatible.
- Furthermore the APC was cheaper here than the IBM. So I tried it.
