[Thinkpad] Trackpoint-Screen Contact on T40

I love my 2 week old T40 (72U). I was convinced that it was nearly as well built as my old-trusty 770ED until....

I just noticed this morning that the trackpoint (the new and improved wide model that the T40 shipped with) is leaving its unmistakable imprint on my screen. There is also a slight mark from one of the trackpoint buttons. These marks don't appear damaging (yet) and are hardly visible when the screen is lit but I am disturbed these scars exist at all.

I have not done anything to the keyboard or trackpoint other than use them normally. The keyboard or trackpoint tip do not appear to be installed improperly. I have not stood on or otherwise abused the T40 in any way (in fact I have hardly moved it) so I can't really call this user error. Has anyone else noticed such a problem? Is this a design flaw that is evident in all of the T series? Any one know of IBM's policy on this sort of thing? Should I just stop worrying? Any advice appreciated.

Bill
