Heh. Dell have the exact same problems with their Inspiron/Latitude
c-series lines. Their user's solution: 2 pieces of paper tissue on the
trackpoint/rubber thumbrest prior to closing screen up. Works wonders to
keep the screen from getting scratched up. If not, careful buffing using
a soft cloth and a very light application of soapy water.
