Hello,

I have a problem with my "new" TP 560x:

The Thinkpad has 96MB Ram and a 10 GB HD.

After the installation of windows 2000 hibernation works fine but when I apply SP3 the TP is not able
to return from hibernation. After the SP uninstallation it works fine again. Returning from hibernation
hangs when it has read all the data from the HD and should switch in a graphic mode.

I searched the web but couldn't find any tips or reports of this problem. The bios of the tp is the last
one avaible and it runs without any thirdparty diskmanager. Shrinking the partion down to <8GB
doesn't help either.

There is this thinkpad configuration tool for the 560x which is also for win2000. this tools also offers
the creation of a hibernation file, but while creating the file it complains that I use a disk
compression software or the disk is external. Both is not true, but it stops the file creation process.

It don't depend on installing SP3, but it would be quite nice to have both SP3 & hibernation.

Resume works all the time and the only extra in the TP is a xircom realport modem and ethernet
card.

Ok, thank you for your help and have a nice day!

Alex
