I am happy to report that the replacement monitor arrived in good order today
and is up and working.
It's a refurb, but I don't care as the original 3 year warranty covers this
replacement and it's therefore fully covered until MAR/2004.
The nitty-gritty of the swap process is that KDS was obligated to ship the
replacement via 2/3 day Fedex on THEIR dime and I'm obligated to ship the dead
one back by whatever means on my dime. (I'll be sending it back via FedexSaver
as I get an excellent rate.)
All in all, several thumbs up for KDS! With all the cavilling most of us do on
here WRT warranties from providers, I just though it was time to report that
_sometimes_ the system works.
The NEC 15" monitor is back on the docking station for my venerable 600X
(obligatory Thinkpad content!) feeling inadequate.

In the typical "hurry-up and wait" of many things nowadays, I'm on hold awaiting
the return of my Dr. and Surgeon from their respective Memorial Day Weekends.
Friday, everything was necessary on an emergency basis. Today, as THEY take a
travel day to return home, it's "there's no rush".
Nice to know that THEY were able to de-compress while I twisted on tenterhooks!
