[Thinkpad] 770 ED: Zip drive to go in floppy drive slot.

     And, finally for now:
Is there a Zip drive that can be inserted into the floppy disk drive slot
of the 770 ED? I've been told variously that there is one, there isn't one,
that there was going to be one later on; but that was a few years ago now.
Does anyone know what the current situation here is?

I've occasionally heard the suggestion that the Zip drive is already on the
way out, similarly to the floppy, which is apparently merely further advanced in
that process. If so, what are the most favoured media for transferring files
into and out of computers? (Dumb question maybe; but I haven't been closely
following the latest trends in such matters.) I just don't want to buy a piece
of equipment, then find it becomes more difficult to use. (I'm talking about
reusable media, so I don't mean C.D.-ROMs.)
     Thanks.

                         Regards,
                          Michael Edwards.
