There must be an option in the BIOS to enable USB floppy booting.
But what I did was just boot from the Windows CD and install from it
(again check if CD booting is enabled).

Subject: [Thinkpad] Thinkpad 600e - USB FDD?
I have a Thinkpad 600e with no FDD.
It will work with my USB FDD from Win2k, as the B: drive.
I think I need to update the BIOS because I want to wipe and reload it to
sell it. But, when I load on Windows 98, it freezes immediately after booting.
Can I boot from a USB Drive?
I haven't tried this yet, but I intend to when I get home later...
Al
