All you have to do is look at the voltage and amperage requirements
for the ThinkPad, and then compare it to the power supply.

I think all the late model ThinkPads are 16v, so thats pretty easy.
The trick is to look at the current abilities of the supply; if the amp
rating is equal to or greater than what the ThinkPad says it wants,
you're fine. If you use supply which can't give enough current you
run the risk of hurting the ThinkPad.

But at 4.5a I'll bet it can feed all but the largest A series machines
with 3GHz pentii.
