Often the power connector on the back goes bad.
Replace the system board.

Hi all,
I apologise if this message is commonly encountered - I've just subscribed to the list.
I have an IBM Thinkpad 600 and this morning I went to use it and it wouldn't switch on. I've plugged in the IBM AC adaptor and still nothing. There isn't even any battery lights showing. Even when plugged in the side switch doesn't work.
Can anybody explain this behaviour ?
