[Thinkpad] H8/3437 chip on 560X board

Hello,
I have nice 560X which has some problem:
when I power on, it lights up but after couple seconds goes off. And then it
never powers on unless disconnected from battery and DC. There is this
H8/3437 microcontroller chip which instantly becomes very hot, seems like
power protection kicks in as it draws current. The FRU on top of the chip:
05K3223.
Is it possible to fix this thing? Anyone has ideas what to do? Guess this
was one of the popular chips with some encryption, but there should be
solutions, its been long time in the market. I'm ready to do whatever
experiments on this subject..
