[Thinkpad] Sound Problem Win2K

Does anyone know the dos command to use to check my
sound output. I seem to have lost all of my sound
properties with a recent dvd upgrade. Nothing is muted
in my settings and all my hardware seems to be working
fine. Currently running a 770 233mhz in Win2k.
