That type of log information comes from data generated by the web
server. You can't add any tool or utility to acquire that data if your
web hosting provider doesn't allow access to those log files. If your
provider won't give you access to those files then you're SOL.
I believe there are some free web hosts out there that do offer log
access. It's been a while since I've helped anyone with that type of
research so I don't recall the names. Do some Yahoo/Google searching
for 'free web hosting' and you should be able to find an alternative.
Alternatively, perhaps it would be worth calling tech support for your
current provider and just ask them if there's a way for you to get web
logs for your site. This is pretty unlikely if your URL is something
like www.theirdomainname.net/~jrace. If you have your own domain name
hosted through them then that is more likely to get you your own logs.
