[Thinkpad] Region-free DVD in T40

Hi all,
I wonder if there is a way to make the DVD drive "region-free" (model
MATSHITA UJDA745 DVD/CDRW) in T40.

I mean the way to unblock the limit of 5 region changes or watch DVD
from other region without changing it in DVD drive.

Any experiences/advices would be appreciated.
