[Thinkpad] 760CD - 2nd drive question

Hello,

Does anyone's memory stretch back to the 760 series.

I have such a machine, but my memory is about gone <s>.

At any rate, I am trying to use a 2nd hard drive in the bay.

I am using the rectangular holder for the 2nd drive, but is there something about the blue
gizmo where the drive goes into the spare bay.

Right now it is in the 'down' position; is that where it belongs?

What is that for, anyway?

Doesn't look to fit with a floppy or a CD drive.
