[Thinkpad] T40 in Europe?

What do I need to plug my T40 in in Europe (Ireland, specifically)? I
called IBM after perusing their website, and still didn't get a clear
answer.

Obviously I need at the least an adapter to convert the different plug
types, but does the included AC adapter to the voltage switching as well,
or do I need something to also do that for me? I found the following
products that might work:

A plug converter but not power converter ($20):

IBM said I needed the power converter as the AC adapter doesn't do this
voltage switching, but the guy didn't seem that sure or clear on this.

I'd appreciate advice from anyone whos already done this.
