Not all RAM sticks will work in a 600e. This has been
discussed at length here over the past couple of years. One
consideration is that it should be low-density memory, in other
words, if you have two sticks with different numbers of ceramic
IC packages clinging to the surface, the one with more chips
will be low density. At least that's how I understand it.
There isn't a label on the stick saying it is "high" or "low"
density.

But if you want chapter and verse, (and specific part numbers /
manufacturers that do work) look in the list archives.
One search term "James Maugham" will always give good results !
