Just got a new thinkpad that I'm setting up for a friend.
It's an A20m type 2628-3CU and came with the dock (02K8668)
548 Mhz Celeron, 256 Mb RAM, 12 Gb hard disk running Win XP Pro.
At the moment the ethernet port in the dock isn't working and I'm
debating just recovering the hard drive assuming that there is a
recovery partition.
Is there a way to determine if there is a recovery partition?
If I recover from the partition will the ethernet be enabled?
Is there anything else to look out for on this model?

Thanks
